ALEX BORES ENDORSED BY LYNN SCHULMAN, CHAIR OF THE NEW YORK CITY COUNCIL’S HEALTH COMMITTEE
NEW YORK, NEW YORK — Today, Lynn Schulman, Chair of the New York City Council’s Health Committee, announced her endorsement of State Assemblymember Alex Bores in the NY-12 Congressional race.
As his campaign progresses, Alex Bores is building an impressive slate of endorsements, fundraising strength, and momentum to demonstrate why he is the district’s man for the moment.
“As Chair of the New York City Council’s Health Committee, expanding access to health care has been central to my work, and Alex Bores shares that same commitment. Throughout his time in public service, he has shown a deep dedication to the people of New York and a passion for taking this city back for working people. He has also been a strong and consistent voice against antisemitism, a fight I share. I’m proud to support Alex’s run for Congress and excited to stand with him as he brings his energy and values to the national stage. He represents the kind of new leadership our party needs right now,” Councilmember Lynn Schulman said.
Lynn Schulman is a member of the New York City Council representing Queens' District 29 and serves as Chair of the Council’s Health Committee. A longtime public health advocate, policy expert, and nonprofit leader, she has spent decades working on issues including healthcare access, HIV/AIDS, mental health, and women’s health. In the Council, Schulman has been a leading voice on strengthening the city’s healthcare system and advancing equity-focused public health policy.
“Lynn is an incredible leader who has dedicated her life to protecting and advocating for the safety of our community. Because of her work, New Yorkers have a healthcare system that is better prepared for what’s ahead and better equipped to serve their needs. Her support in this race is invaluable, and I share in her commitment to fairness, advocacy, and healthcare access as this district looks for a fighter in Congress,” Bores said.
